Rotary Day Celebration
117 years ago in Chicago under the auspices of esteemed Paul Harris and his fellow friends, the very first Rotary meeting was organized. Up until today this date 23 February is celebrated worldwide as Rotary Day and it represents cause for joy, pleasure and a sense of pride to be a member of the Rotary family. In an effort to increase membership and highlight Rotary’s inspiring work, Rotary International is urging clubs and districts to organize fun, informal community events to celebrate Rotary Day, therefore RCSID organized small honouring together with RCSID friends so that the fire of spirit and message of Rotary is alive in our beloved Bosnia and Herzegovina. Interestingly enough this day is also referred to as World Understanding and Peace Day.
