Reshad Kulenović's lecture

Reshad Kulenović is a writer/director based in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the United States. His short film SNOVI played over 20 international film festivals and was nominated for a Student Academy Award and won the Grand Jury Prize at the Oscar-qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival.

In his RCSID lecture, he spoke about one of his current projects. The film, THE HERETICAL KINGDOM is an animated documentary exploring the rise of heretical movements in Medieval Europe with a focus on Bosnia. The film looks at heresy as both an idea that spread across Europe and as a political tool used to justify wars and demonize political adversaries. The film features renowned historians in the field and animation sequences by an Oscar nominated animator.
