Celebrating Greek Culture in Sarajevo: Greek Ambassador visits RCSID
Rotary International Delta Sarajevo welcomed members and guests on the occasion of 9 February 2024 to celebrate the World Day of the Greek Language. Our special guests were the Greek Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ioanna Efthymiadou, and her associates Žarka Bajić and Minas Ounanian. The discussion served as a an excellent and a much needed reminder of the impact and significance of the Greek language.Madam Ambassador talked about the intricacies of language, especially from her perspective as an ambassador who has been posted to many countries. Her Excellency also presented the project of the Greek Embassy, reading of poetry by renowned Greek poets Giorgos Seferis and Odysseas Elytis.
