Support to children with cancer
In 2008, RCSID organized an important fundraising event together with RC Sarajevo in “Colosseum”. The Club also contributed an additional 21,764.80 BAM to support the association “Srce za Djecu koja boljuju of raka”. The aim of this donation was to support families with children who suffer from cancer. Those patients, who can find medical treatment only in Sarajevo but come from all over Bosnia & Herzegovina, often have no accommodation in town. The Association “Srce” provided them with funds to pay for their stay while the children were hospitalized in Sarajevo. The club’s donation also funded purchase of equipment and the furnishing of a home in which the association accommodated parents for extended periods.
